LittleBigPlanet Users Continue To Amaze The Playstation Community

LittleBigPlanet has proven to the gaming community that anyone, and everyone can apply their dream level into Sackboy’s playground, but those that have the right skill, and mind set are able to create something truly amazing. We’ve all been wowed by the massive levels, the LittleBigCalculator, and Tic Tac Toe, but now we have something just as or even more complex than all other levels. The leve recreates Conway’s Game of Life described as a cellular automation in which there are actually no players involved during the game. The player creates a configuration, and watches it evolve. While the idea of this may sound completely boring to the average gamer, the work behind this level is just mind bottling. The moving gears, pulleys, and structure is just unbelievable. The level was created by three students of Olin College, and can be found on LittleBigPlanet by searching LittleBigLife. The video after the jump demonstrates this complex piece of work, and how it pulls together to create the game. In the end all I have to say is WOW. I’m going to go play World of Warcraft to try and forget how stupid this makes me feel. Video after the jump!

Thanks for the tip Nina!

Next Metal Gear game to be on… the iPhone/iTouch

So instead of getting PS3 owners or Xbox 360 owners angry, they pretty much both get to be angry and annoyed now. Come on, how many gamers have an iPhone or iTouch?? I can tell you. The answer is: not much.

Metal Gear Solid Touch, confirmed to be an original title in the MGS4 universe on 8 levels. And while we know nothing about the game, it looks to be stealth action. The question is, when does it take place?? The screen above looks to be Old Snake, but the press release says Solid Snake?

Anyways, replay value will already be incorporated into the game in the means of points, which can be turned in for MGS wallpapers and other potential goodies.

EA Letting Gamers Play 'Crysis Wars' Free for 10 Days

Just a reminder: Electronic Arts, in an attempt to get more people playing Crysis Wars, will make the multiplayer component of Crysis Warhead free for 10 days starting tomorrow.

Crysis Wars Free Weekend Trailer

You should totally go to mycrysis.com and sign up for the program. You'll then get to download Crysis Wars and receive a key to activate your account for free play. You should expect to sign up for their community site and utilize EA's downloader program to obtain said game. I would do it here and let you know, but I work on a Mac and they only play Text Edit.

The servers will be free from Friday, December 19th at 12PM ET until December 28 at 2:59 AM ET.

This is also an amazing opportunity to find out if your computer can actually run Crysis for free. We suggest checking it out as a benchmark, even if you aren't interested in the multiplayer game.

Can you computer run Crysis? Going to find out?

'Crysis Wars' Holiday Map Pack Videos Stay Frosty On the Savanna

To commemorate the Crysis Wars free trial, (beginning tomorrow) EA and developer Crytek release a couple of videos for their Holiday Map Pack. Check out the icy battle ground of Frost and the desert combat zone of Savanna after the cut.

Frost (TeamInstantAction): As the Alien invasion progresses, new crash sites are discovered around the globe. In the region of Trondheim, NK and US battle it out for new energy sources. This small map is great for 8-16 players.

Savanna (PowerStruggle): The large savanna plains in the neighborhood of the Victoria falls provide ideal maneuvering grounds for heavy armored vehicles. The North Korean army has found out about this training facility and launched an attack on the US forces. This large map is perfect for 24-32 players.

Maximum PC gaming? Free is good, will it be enough to entice you into the nanosuit multiplayer mayhem? Crysis Wars is available now for the PC existing as the multiplayer sister half of the FPS title Crysis: Warhead.
